Прошлое, настоящее и будущее английского языка (реферат, курсовая, диплом, контрольная)

O ne example is the modern «singlish», which is used in Singapore. T he English language in this country is official and used for business communication, in legislation, in public administration. A nd in the speech of the Singaporeans is using the dialect «singlish», in which at first glance it is difficult to recognize English, but the native speakersof traditional versioneasily recognize it.

5, p.1]The same thing happens in South America: English is mixed with local languages and creates its own version. E ven in Europe English is already undergoing changes: words have new meanings that are not typical for the traditional variant. F or example, Germans call mobile phones the English word «handy».It should be noted also that recently, due to the development of the Internet, another form of English has appeared − text English. T his is the language of messages in SMS and messengers, the language of communication on the Internet, which has its peculiarities and slang words. I.

t is used by young people who are able to influence the future of English. T hus, it is possible to see as the next in English dictionaries such expressions as «whitelist» − put the name in the list of resources without spam, «earworm» − intrusive melody, «google"− search in Google. [ 5, p.1]4. W hat were the initial causes of the global spread of English and how did these affect the linguistic development of the language? In favor of the approval of English as a global language have played a lot of factors.

T hus, in the XVII-XVIII centuries it was the language of a huge colonial state — Great Britain. T he latter was destined to become the most developed country in the world in the XVIII-XIX centuries due to the industrial revolution. T hen together with the whole of Western Europe, to create a process that, over the next centuries, will determine the development of mankind — global modernization. B ecause it is based on the scientific revolution, English has become a means of access to knowledge and their dissemination.

T hus, worldwide distribution of English was received as a result of the world importance of England for a long period of time. A lso, language becomes a means of international communication, when its special role is recognized by all countries. R eformatting the world order after the First and then the Second World Wars led to the creation of new international organizations and alliances.

T his caused an unprecedented need for a global lingua franca, which became English. A nd finally, a significant influence on the development of English as a world language was influenced by the development of the Internet around the world. Globalization of English raises fears about a possible loss of the refined English language. A nother trend — English continues to spread around the world, fragmenting into many local dialects, named «englishes».So, among the main influences of globalization on the language, it should be noted its changes, the avoiding the native English and the loss of some words from the foreign language replacement.
